Clear rules before your first request.
Watad is operated by Formendure Company.
These terms govern the use of Watad’s website, app and building material quotation services. Read them alongside the privacy policy and any terms shown before a specific action.
01Acceptance and scope
By using the website, creating an account or accepting these terms in the app, you agree to comply with them and the privacy policy. If acting for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. Mentioning a paid feature in these terms does not make it available; it must appear in the product and its activation requirements must be completed.
Commercial services, payments, messages, notifications and invoicing are offered in the app as they appear to you there; some features may vary by city or account type.
02What Watad provides
Watad provides an online marketplace that organises building material quotation requests between buyers and verified suppliers. Suppliers describe the materials, price, transport, timing and tax in their offers. Buyers choose the suitable offer. Watad is not a materials manufacturer, does not transfer ownership of goods it has not owned, and does not guarantee a description unverified by the responsible party.
Watad provides tools for tracking payments, orders, documents and disputes under the approved model. The supplier is the seller of the materials and is responsible for its tax invoice. Watad’s order statement does not replace that invoice or change the seller’s status.
03Accounts and verification
- Each account has one role in the first version: buyer or supplier. Account sharing or impersonating a person or business is prohibited.
- Buyers choose individual or business status. An individual becomes a business only after requesting an upgrade and completing verification, never automatically because of quantity.
- A supplier is a verified business, and commercial registration is required. VAT registration and its evidence depend on the business’s legal status.
- Keep your information accurate and current, and protect your device, mobile number and sessions. Report any unauthorised use to support immediately.
Watad may request additional risk-based verification under an approved policy. These terms do not impose an undisclosed quantity threshold or forced account-type conversion.
04Quotation requests and attachments
You are responsible for the clarity of descriptions, quantities, locations, dates and uploaded attachments, and for having the right to use them. The first version supports images, PDF, XLS, XLSX, CSV and BOQ files, storing and forwarding them unchanged; it does not read spreadsheet rows or automatically turn them into line items.
Do not upload information unnecessary for the request, access secrets, card details, or unlawful or harmful content. Watad may reject unsupported or infected files, or files exceeding published technical limits.
05Supplier offers and selection
Supplier offer privacy. Suppliers cannot see competing offers or buyer contact details before selection. Suppliers must keep offers accurate and fulfilable throughout their validity, specifying materials, alternatives, transport, tax, timing and the total.
Selecting an offer creates the obligations shown in the app before confirmation. Agreements outside the platform intended to bypass fees, protections or tracking are prohibited, as is manipulating offers, identities or delivery evidence.
06Payments and financial statuses
Card or Apple Pay data goes directly to the approved payment provider. Watad does not store full card numbers. Watad uses manual authorisation followed by server-side capture, void or refund according to the order status. A provider result is not final in Watad until its references, amount, currency and status are reconciled with the local record.
When the direct settlement flow is activated, the payment provider settles the supplier’s proceeds directly to its account, with Watad’s commission separated according to the agreement. Payments due for materials do not enter Watad’s bank account. The app does not provide a stored-value wallet or manual withdrawal requests. Payment confirmation does not mean the settlement has reached the supplier’s account; a settlement is shown as complete only after confirmation. The server calculates amounts in integer halalas. During an external provider outage, the status is reviewed before any uncertain financial action is repeated.
07VAT, fees and invoices
VAT-registered suppliers apply the statutory standard rate of 15% to taxable supplies where applicable. Non-registered suppliers do not add tax simply for using the platform. The server calculates tax from verified supplier information and the applicable policy; the rate is not an optional supplier-entered field.
Watad’s current supplier commission policy is 5% of the full order total after the offer components are calculated, shown to the supplier in the designated interface. Any legally required tax on the platform service or change to the calculation basis is disclosed before commitment and is subject to accounting and tax review.
Watad issues a non-tax order and payment statement showing the materials, amounts and parties. This statement is not a tax invoice issued by the supplier. A VAT-registered supplier is responsible for issuing its tax invoice from its own system and may upload it in the app or provide it to the buyer on request. Uploading a document is not evidence of its tax compliance.
08Fulfilment, delivery and disputes
Suppliers must deliver materials matching the offer at the agreed place and time. Buyers must arrange receipt and inspection without unjustified delay. Submitted evidence must be accurate and must not expose unnecessary data.
If an issue arises, a party may open a dispute with an appropriate description and evidence. Each party’s messages go to the administration team rather than appearing as a direct conversation with the other party. An authorised administrator reviews the evidence and takes an available action within the status workflow; statuses cannot be changed outside approved transitions.
These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights under Saudi law, including rights that cannot be waived by agreement.
09Acceptable use
Using Watad for fraud, deception, price collusion, unauthorised access, collecting others’ data, uploading malware, harassing users or bypassing verification or fees is prohibited. Order or participant data must not be used for purposes other than performing the transaction or meeting legal obligations.
We may restrict access or pause a sensitive action to investigate suspicious activity, preserving evidence and the decision record and allowing review as appropriate.
10Content and intellectual property
Rights in uploaded documents and content remain with you or their owner. You grant Watad a limited licence to process and display them to authorised parties as necessary for the service, security, support and legal compliance.
Watad’s name, identity, designs, software and website content are owned by or licensed to Watad. They must not be copied or reused in a way that suggests a relationship or endorsement that does not exist.
11Availability and limits of liability
We aim to provide a reliable service, but it may pause for maintenance, a provider outage or circumstances beyond our control. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or a specific commercial outcome, and are not responsible for descriptions or commitments made by users in breach of these terms.
To the extent permitted by law, liability covers proven direct damage connected to a breach by Watad, excluding lost expectations or unrealised profits that could not reasonably be foreseen. No exclusion or limit applies where it conflicts with a mandatory right or concerns fraud or gross negligence that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12Suspension, termination and account deletion
You may stop using the service and request account deletion. We may suspend or restrict an account for a material breach, security risk or lawful request, taking open transactions and existing rights into account. Account deletion does not erase records that must be retained for tax, accounting, disputes or fraud prevention.
The account deletion page explains the steps and effects, and you can start deletion directly from within the app.
13Changes, governing law and contact
These terms may be updated when the service or law changes. We publish the version and effective date, requesting renewed acceptance for material changes where required. These terms are governed by Saudi law. Competent Saudi courts have jurisdiction over disputes after an attempt to resolve them through support, without limiting consumer rights.
