Account management

Deleting your account: a clear decision.

You can request deletion of your account and related data. We verify that the request is yours, stop access, then delete or anonymise data that need not be retained by law.

Last updated: 20 October 2026 Request method: In the app or by email
Deleting from the app

In the app, open “Account”, then “Settings”, then “Delete account”, choose a reason and confirm. Access to the account stops immediately and deletion or anonymisation follows as this page explains. Requesting by email remains available if you cannot sign in.

01
Requesting by email

Request, verify, and track the result.

Do not send a complete identity document or verification code. Use your registered contact method so we can verify the request with the minimum necessary data.

01

Send the request from your registered email

Email [email protected] with the subject “Watad account deletion request”. Include your mobile number in masked form, showing only the last four digits.

02

We review ownership and open obligations

We verify the account owner and review any orders, disputes or amounts that need settlement before deletion. We do not request passwords or verification codes by email.

03

We revoke access and delete eligible data

Sessions are revoked. Eligible profile data and content are deleted or anonymised. Only records needed for legal, tax or accounting obligations, or to protect rights, remain.

04

We confirm the outcome

We confirm completion or explain any legal reason that prevents deletion of a specific record, without disclosing additional data by email.

What is deleted and what may remain

Deletion does not remove an existing obligation.

We delete or anonymise account data whose purpose has ended. Transaction, invoice, dispute or audit records may need to be retained for legally required periods or to protect rights, with their use restricted to that purpose.

Deleted or anonymised

Personal profile and contact information.

Active sessions and device tokens.

Uploaded attachments and content whose purpose has ended.

Account preferences and in-app browsing history.

May remain for a legally required period

Transaction records and tax invoices.

Dispute files and related decisions.

Audit and fraud prevention records.

Records the law requires to be retained to protect rights.
